Week 11 – 2019 Power Rankings

The Power Rankings are done for every week of the season using a simple formula based on wins and losses against opponents and where they rank during said week. Points are awarded to teams based off their weekly results and teams are ranked in order of overall total points. If a teams opponent forfeits for the week, the team will still receive points for the week while the opponent will not receive any. Teams will not receive any points during bye-weeks.

At the beginning of every season, power rankings are set based off of the previous years results, with any new teams being added to the bottom. Each team is then awarded a set amount of points that increases the higher they are ranked and these are how teams get started with overall points. Starting next season, power rankings will still be set based off of the previous years end results with new teams being added to the bottom, however, the top 8 teams will begin the season with 100 points while the rest of the teams will receive 50 points to start the season.

Formula

Win against top 7 = 20 points
Win against bottom 7 = 10 points
Loss against top 7 = 5 points
Loss against bottom 7 = 0 points

Add points each team has accumulated for their current week to overall team score to get updated results for the current week. If teams are tied with same amount of overall points, the power ranking tie-breakers are:

Most wins > head-to-head > overall points scored
