Week 4

April 25, 2021

1. Cyclones 3-0 (–)
Previous Rank: 1

The Champs were on the road once again, this time they traveled to a struggling Mustangs team. Though the Cyclones didn’t play up to their standards, they still won, 80-18.

Next Game: 5/8 vs Rage

2. Comanche 3-0 (–)
Previous Rank: 2

A lot was going on with the Mountain Champs this week as they traveled somewhat light to Punxy and it showed. The Comanche overcame some early adversity and won the game, 24-0.

Next Game: 5/1 vs Maniacs

3. Hitmen 4-0 (–)
Previous Rank: 3

The Hitmen played their first night game of the season as they traveled to Bloomsburg to take on the Maniacs. Though they didn’t have QB Corey Talerico, it didn’t matter.

Next Game: 5/1 at Williamsport

4. Warriors 3-0 (–)
Previous Rank: 4

For the second time in their team history, they traveled north to the Shock and for only the second time in their. history they won the best of the Northeast Trophy, 50-24

Next Game: 5/8 at Mustangs

5. Wildcats 4-0 (+1)
Previous Rank: 6

For the first time in a long time, Billtown breaks the power rankings top 5. HC Aaron Stoner has the Wildcats running on all cylinders as they beat the Tomahawks in Rec Park, 80-62.

Next Game: 5/1 vs Hitmen

6. Shock 2-1 (-1)
Previous Rank: 5

Shock took a step back this week as they lost to their rivals, the Warriors, 50-24. Dick City seems to have one of the most talented rosters in the GEFA which is disappointing.

Next Game: 5/8 at Savages

7. Savages 2-1 (+2)
Previous Rank: 9

The Savages bounced back this week vs the Nightmare, though it was the dominance they had vs the Nightmare in the classic last year. Its still enough to build confidence.

Next Game: 5/8 vs Shock

8. Vikings 1-2 (–)
Previous Rank: 8

Hopefully HC Thor Marlow was able to rally the troops in the off week because they are in a must win situation this week.

Next Game: 5/1 at Thunder

9. Thunder 2-2 (+2)
Previous Rank: 11

The Thunder continue to surprise the league as they break into the top 10 with a huge win over the Spartans, 56-28.

Next Game: 5/1 vs Vikings

10. Jaguars 1-2 (–)
Previous Rank: 10

Jaguars had a tough game against the Comanche. The biggest story, like other teams is missing pieces. That and not being able to make adjustments at half time will spell disaster.

Next Game: 5/1 vs Tomahawks

11. Tomahawks 1-3 (-4)
Previous Rank: 7

Mifflin County continues to drop. For the first time at Rec Park they lost to the Wildcats and for the first time since 2013 the Tomahawks are looking at missing the playoffs.

Next Game: 5/1 at Jaguars

12. Rage 1-2 (+3)
Previous Rank: 15

The Rage jump up to number 12 this week after a great game vs the Diamondbacks. The Monmouth D accounted for 3 pick 6’s and the win, 32-30.

Next Game: 5/8 at Cyclones

13. Diamondbacks 1-2 (-1)
Previous Rank: 12

The DBacks took a step back from a week as they lost a tough one of the road in Jersey. The biggest concern is what the status is of QB Ant Watson.

Next Game: 5/8 at Nightmare

14. Nightmare 0-3 (-1)
Previous Rank: 13

Nightmare continue to improve but continue to shoot themselves in the foot. Even with all the mistakes they have been making were still in a position to win the game.

Next Game: 5/8 vs Nightmare

15. Mustangs 0-3 (-1)
Previous Rank: 14

The Mustangs probably had their best chance to win a game this season last week. Not sure if they may have another chance to get that elusive first win in team history.

Next Game: 5/8 vs Warriors

16. Maniacs 0-3 (–)
Previous Rank: 16

The Maniacs finally had a home opener which they are usually pretty good at home. Problem this week was a conflict in scheduling that led half their team to be missing vs the Hitmen.

Next Game: 5/1 at Comanche

17. Spartans 0-4 (–)
Previous Rank: 17

The young Spartans are showing progress. They played a tough Thunder team at home. Though they didn’t get the win, they did gain confidence.

Next Game: 5/8 vs Jaguars
